Frequently Asked Questions
What is fractional project leadership?
Fractional project leadership gives an organization access to experienced program and project execution leadership at the level and duration the work requires—without hiring a full-time senior leader.
Is Fractional PM Services a staffing company?
No. We provide leadership, judgment, governance, coordination, and execution oversight. We are not a temporary labor provider or body shop.
What is the difference between the free Introductory Call and the Project Clarity Audit™?
The free Introductory Call is a 15-minute fit check used to understand why you reached out and determine whether Fractional PM Services is appropriate. It does not include diagnosis, document review, or written recommendations. The $199 Project Clarity Audit™ is a 45-minute paid diagnostic that identifies the apparent execution barrier and provides a concise Project Clarity Summary with immediate priorities and a recommended next step.
What is included in the Project Clarity Audit™?
The $199 Audit includes a short intake, a focused 45-minute video session, and a concise Project Clarity Summary with primary observations, immediate priorities, and a recommended next step. It does not include formal project-health scoring, multiple stakeholder interviews, a 90-Day Momentum Roadmap™, or implementation work.
Do I have to start with the Project Clarity Audit™?
No. The free 15-minute Introductory Call is available when you are unsure whether the service is right for you, but it is not required. You may book the $199 Project Clarity Audit™ directly when you are ready for focused diagnosis. Repeat clients, qualified referrals, formal government opportunities, and clearly scoped needs may proceed directly to proposal when another Audit would add no value.
Can you help with a project that is already underway or in trouble?
Yes. We assess the current condition, restore visibility and ownership, stabilize governance and controls, and help the team rebuild momentum.
Can you work with our internal project managers?
Yes. We can lead directly, coordinate across project managers, coach internal staff, strengthen PMO practices, or provide executive oversight.
What types of organizations do you serve?
We work with small and mid-sized businesses, technology companies, professional-services firms, government contractors and mission-support organizations, nonprofits, associations, and organizations undergoing growth, modernization, or change.
Do you support government clients?
Yes. We support government-facing program and project leadership, project assessment and recovery, governance and PMO support, risk and change management, stakeholder coordination, executive reporting, modernization, and operational improvement.
Are engagements remote or on-site?
Most work can be delivered remotely. On-site participation may be included when the engagement, stakeholders, security, or delivery environment requires it.
How quickly can an engagement begin?
Timing depends on availability, urgency, scope, contracting, and stakeholder access. Prospects who are unsure of fit may begin with the free 15-minute Introductory Call. Prospects ready for focused diagnosis may book the $199 Project Clarity Audit™ directly using the existing scheduling link.
How are fees determined?
Fees are based on initiative complexity, delivery risk, stakeholder coordination, number of active workstreams, and required leadership cadence. Fixed-fee and monthly retainer models are used depending on the service.
What happens when the engagement ends?
Every engagement includes clear transition expectations, documentation, knowledge transfer, and recommendations designed to leave the client stronger and less dependent on outside support.
